Using a wax heater, heat the wax to 37°C (approximately 20-30 minutes on medium-high heat). The wax should be a fluid consistency, but not runny. If the wax appears to be runny, it is too hot - allow it to cool down and thicken. CAUTION: HOT WAX MAY BURN THE SKIN. Once the desired consistency is reached, lower the thermostat to medium heat to maintain the liquid texture.
1. Apply a thin layer of Waxing Oil to the area to cleanse and prepare the skin for treatment. 2. Dip a waxing spatula into the wax and allow any excess wax to drip off. 3. Spread a thin layer of wax following the direction of hair growth. 4. Cover this layer of wax with a waxing strip and rub down firmly so that the wax adheres to the strip. 5. Hold one end of the strip, and pull back in a quick swift motion, in the opposite direction of the hair growth. To avoid bruising, hold the skin taut and pull as close to the skin as possible. 6. Once hair removal is complete, apply Waxing Oil to remove any wax residue.
Do not wax on skin that has been recently exposed to sun or tanning bed. Do not wax over sunburnt or irritated skin, lesions, warts, moles or abrasions. Do not wax on skin that is sensitive due to medications (ie. Retin-a or Accutane). If an adverse reaction occurs, stop use immediately. For external use only.
Apply before waxing to clean and prep the skin in one easy step. Use after waxing to remove any wax residue.
✦ Tea Tree: anti-bacterial
✦ Sunflower: anti-inflammatory
✦ Coconut + Jojoba:moisturizing + nourishing
FUN FACT: Think it’s counterproductive to use oil before waxing? Old school methods turned to powder to dry out the skin before waxing - this makes already dry skin even dryer, causing more issues with skin tearing. With a base layer of oil, the skin is nourished prior to waxing while allowing a barrier between the skin and the wax so only the hair is removed!
PRO TIP: Be sure to massage into dryer skin such as knees, elbows and feet!
Using a cotton gauze, apply a thin layer onto the skin prior to waxing. Use after waxing to remove any wax residue from the skin. For external use only.
Instantly soothes the skin after waxing. Light, milky gel formula. Ideal for all skin types.
✦ Aloe: soothing + healing
✦ Vitamin E:healing + nourishing
✦ Comfrey Root: anti-inflammatory + healing
✦ Rose: soothing
FUN FACT: The World Health Organization recommends Aloe Vera as a traditional medicine with healing properties for dermatitis. That’s why Aloe, in combination with Vitamin E and Comfrey Root, provides an effective combination to soothe the skin from post-wax redness and irritation.
PRO TIP: Store in fridge for extra cooling sensation
Apply onto the skin immediately after waxing. Reapply as needed. For external use only.
